From the Revolutionary War to today!
Located in Athens, the Alabama Veterans Museum and Archives contains a vast collection of artifacts from every major military conflict in our country’s history. From actual uniforms and weapons used in combat to photographs and letters authentic to the period, this museum specializes in telling the personal stories of the solider that often times are lost to history. Every piece in the museum’s collection was donated, and as you walk among the exhibits and hear the stories from the men and women who fought, you’ll leave with a greater appreciation of the tremendous sacrifice it takes to preserve our freedom.
