Birmingham Zoo Reopens!
The Birmingham Zoo announced that it will reopen its gates on Monday, June 8.
For the first three days of operation (Monday, June 8 through Wednesday, July 10) admission will be limited only to Birmingham Zoo members and donors of the Zoo’s Emergency Animal Fund.
The Zoo will be open to the public starting Thursday, June 11.

All guests, including Zoo Members, are required to reserve tickets online. All admission tickets will be timed and issued in 30-minute time blocks. Please note, credit cards are the only acceptable forms of payment at this time. Cash will NOT be accepted to buy tickets, food, or merchandise.
New Health & Safety Protocols
All visitors and members will be required to wear face masks for their protection and that of other guests, our staff, and our animals per City of Birmingham ordinance mandating the wearing of face masks in public places. Children under 2 years old are not required to wear masks.
Entrance & Exit
All guests and members must enter through the front gate and will be required to exit through the Children’s Zoo gate.
Guests and members will NOT be allowed to reenter the Zoo after exiting.
One-way Traffic Flow
Visitors will follow a one-way directional path through the Zoo from entry to exit.
Strollers will not be available for rent during this time.
