Apple Pie Filling

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 cups sliced/peeled apples
  • 2 tbsp. of lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 4 tbsp. of corn starch
  • 1/4 tsp. of nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. of cinnamon
  • 1 cup of warm water

INSTRUCTIONS

Begin by mixing your apples, 2/3 cup of water and lemon juice into a bowl. In your skillet, preheated on medium heat, you will put the rest of your water, cinnamon, nutmeg sugar and cornstarch. This will make the filing part. Once you have each of your mixtures combined well, add your apples to the skillet. Now turn your skillet heat on high. Once you get your mixture to a nice consistency, you will store it in a mason jar. If you choose to store this in the refrigerator, it will be good for up to 4 weeks.
