Papa Dubi's is bringing a little New Orleans to North Alabama.
If you’ve never been to Papa Dubi’s in Guntersville, it’s time to load up the car and hit the road for one of the more unique culinary experiences in the Tennessee Valley.
Papa Dubi’s features a menu filled with everything from steaks and fried chicken to shrimp and pasta. But it’s the Cajun dishes they’re most known for. We’re talking etouffee, gumbo, jambalaya, po boys – it’s a little bit of New Orleans right here in our backyard.
Owned by operated by three brothers – Will, Patrick, and Tyler Younghouse – Papa Dubi’s is an homage to their great-grandfather. When they opened 15 years ago, it was originally meant to be just po boys and gumbo. But over the years, the menu has expanded to include all the dishes they have today.
Watch above as Will, Patrick, and Tyler talk about the early years of Papa Dubi’s, how they’ve been embraced by the community, and what they believe has set them apart.
And next time you find yourself in Sand Mountain, head on over to Papa Dubi’s for a great meal you’ll definitely remember.
