Amazon is setting up one of the biggest online events I’ve ever seen: Prime Day. What I thought was going to be just a 48-hour long online shopping spree, turned into a week-long event with live music and video games. Starting it all off on July 10, Taylor Swift headlines the exclusive online live concert.
Besides Swift, Prime members can expect to see performances from Dua Lipa, SZA and Becky G. Also, host Jane Lynch takes you through the event.
Log on Wednesday, July 10, at 8:00 pm (9:00 pm ET) to see this all-female artists lineup hit the stage. This performance comes as a celebration for Amazon Prime’s Prime Days. However, preparations for the 48-hour shopping event doesn’t stop with the online concert.

On the days following the concert, Amazon Prime is also streaming a live Twitch Prime competition. Celebrities will compete on the video game platform on July 11-13. A couple of the celebrities making an appearance are Kevin Smith and Jay Mewes of Jay and Silent Bob. The three day video game event will feature Apex Legends from Las Vegas and EA Sports from London.
All of this entertainment comes as build up to Amazon’s Prime Day spectacular on July 15 and 16. It’s going to be a massive online shopping spree with one million deals globally. The event is to celebrate Amazon Prime members and encourage more non-members to join the subscription.
The shopping spree, online concert and video gaming sessions are available to Amazon Prime members only. So, you must have a Prime account or free 30-day trial to join.
