The Newsboys United Tour visits the Von Braun Center on Sunday, October 28th, at 6 PM. The United Tour has garnered a great deal of excitement from contemporary Christian music fans as, for the first time, former Newsboys members Peter Furler and Phil Joel are back performing with the band. When the tour started earlier this year, Huntsville was not one of the scheduled stops. However, the popularity of this show led to the tour being extended and we are lucky enough to be one of the cities that was included.
As the Newsboys website states, this concert is showcasing “all the hits… under one roof… for one tour.” We can look forward to hearing some of the Newsboys classics from when Peter Furler was the lead singer. Songs like “I’m Not Ashamed”, “Shine”, and “Take Me to Your Leader.” Former DC Talk member Michael Tait has been the Newsboys lead singer since 2009. Since that time, hits like “We Believe” and “Live with Abandon” have become favorites. And you just know we will be treated to what has become the Newsboys signature song in recent years, “God’s Not Dead.”
Ticket packages include the Premium ($45) which includes prime reserved seats, entry to a pre-show question and answer session with the band, and a 40-song sampler from NewsRelease Today. The Ultimate VIP Experience ($100) includes everything in the Premium package plus a Photo Op with the Newsboys. As of this writing, most of the seats still available were only $23 each.
