Trash Pandas launch online reading series for children while baseball is away

Missing baseball, yet? Yeah, us too. And this year was set to be a celebration as the newest team in Minor League Baseball, the Rocket City Trash Pandas, was set to kick off their inaugural season right here in the Tennessee Valley.

But even with baseball seemingly on hold for now, the Trash Pandas are still committed to entertaining their legion of fans, especially the kiddos. They’ve launched a new series on their Facebook page called “Trash Panda Tales.” Every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday the folks that make everything work behind the scenes will be joined by team mascot, Sprocket, as they read some of their favorite children’s books.

Here’s the first episode for your little ones to enjoy!

While it’s not as fun as heading out to Toyota Field for a game, hopefully it helps pass the time until baseball can get underway again.

Be sure to check out the Trash Pandas website and follow them on Facebook to see the new episodes.
