Moulton Strawberry Festival

This year’s event features country, gospel and oldies performers, school bands and line dancers on two stages. While the strawberry takes center stage, the Strawberry Festival features a diverse mix of musical acts and showcases the talents of local school bands and line dancers. Music gets underway on Friday, May 3rd at 11 a.m. and runs all day. On Saturday, May 4th, the entertainment fires up at 9 a.m. and lasts until 6 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Jesse Owens Runners’ Club and local schools. The 2019 Strawberry Festival is set for May 3-4, and along with great music, the family-friendly event offers fresh strawberries, free inflatable activities for kids, the Lawrence County Fire Fighters and Rapid Response Volunteers display, arts and crafts and contests and games.

The American Cancer Society of Franklin County is proud to present our annual community event. Our 2019 Event is in Memory of Mr. Joey Oden. A long-time, dedicated Event Leader and Team Captain. Meet the Filmmaker: Chasing the Moon

The new PBS documentary CHASING THE MOON recasts the Space Age as a fascinating stew of scientific innovation, political calculation, media spectacle, visionary impulses, and personal drama, utilizing a feast of previously overlooked and lost archival material. Please join us on May 3 at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville for a preview screening of excerpts from CHASING THE MOON, followed by a panel discussion which includes filmmaker Robert Stone. Babypalooza is a FREE one-day baby and maternity expo and mini parenting conference giving parents the opportunity to interact with pre and postnatal health providers, attend parenting workshops, demonstrate the latest baby gear and gadgets, and visit with maternity and baby themed exhibitors. Exhibitors include health and fitness, preschools, financial services, photographers, and baby and maternity boutiques. Food Truck All Stars 2019

Food Truck Season in Downtown Huntsville starts back on May 4th!! The Food Truck All-Stars 2019 presented by features two amazing food-centric events every month! The first Saturday of every month from 10 am to 2 pm the All-Stars will be on Southside and Eastside Square serving Brunch. The 3rd Friday of each month from 5 to 9 pm they will be on Church Street for dinner. The All Stars are coming better than ever this year with top-notch ingredients, delicious and creative menus, and superb customer service! Pi Day Celebration

Moved to May 4 due to severe weather on March 13th. Come join us in celebration of the beauty and wonder of π! Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) around the world. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14159. Pi Day is an annual opportunity for math enthusiasts to recite the infinite digits of Pi, talk to their friends about math, and to eat Pie.
