Oh. My. God. Could we BE anymore excited?!
Ross, Rachel, Joey, Chandler, Monica, and Phoebe will hopefully be coming to a small screen near you once again in the near future.
The whole Friends series will also live on HBO Max. So don’t worry, we only have to wait a few more months to continuously binge all 10 seasons again after Netflix removed the show on January 1.
This unscripted reunion special has been in the works for a little while now but apparently came to a standstill in late 2019 following tough negotiations on determining what the actors would be paid for appearing in the special.
“Following tough negotiations, I hear Friends starts Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry have reached an agreement in principle with the series’ producer Warner Bros. TV to do what I hear will be an hour-long
special,” Deadline reported. “No one would comment, but I hear each of the six stars will be paid in the $3 million – $4 million range for appearing in the special.”
On Ellen last October, Jennifer Aniston alluded to the fact that the cast was working on “something” for the fans but said that it was not a reboot of the show.
Then on February 5th, Matthew Perry posted a cryptic tweet saying, “Big news coming…”and to no one’s surprise, the internet has gone crazy with this tweet responding with excitement and alllllll the Friends memes.
Big news coming…
