This iconic ice cream shop is home to more than just delicious desserts.
Trowbridge’s has been a staple in downtown Florence since it opened its doors in 1918. For years, generations of families have come to enjoy the famous chicken salad sandwiches and delicious orange pineapple ice cream.
But you probably didn’t know that something, or rather someone, is said to haunt this iconic ice cream shop.
Watch above as Debra Glass, local author of more than thirty five books, tells the story of a Civil War solider who died in his home in 1861, right on the site where Trowbridge’s sits today.
