Unplugged

Featuring Phantom of the Ballet & Amore

Oct 25-27, VBC Playhouse

Huntsville Ballet opens the 2019-2020 season with Phantom of the Ballet and the world premiere of Amore. Back by popular demand, Phantom of the Ballet made its world premiere in the fall of 2017. Based on the 1910 horror novel by Gaston Leroux, Phantom of the Ballet follows the story of the disfigured Phantom who haunts the Paris Opera House.

And making its world premiere, Amore is inspired by a work of Hunstville’s own renowned artist, Kathy Chan. Amore, a necklace, which Mrs. Chan created in 1986 is designed with 195 ct. of blue topaz cut into a heart shape and pierced by a diamond arrow. While Mrs. Chan is best know for her work as a jeweler, she has won numerous awards in painting, sculpture, and printing as is the recipient of the Governor’s Arts Award for a lifetime of artistic achievements.
